Medical Personnel

We provide medical assistance at the highest professional level, using the newest advances in medical science. The sanatorium employs 2 Academy Members, 3 Doctors of Medicine, 6 Medical PhD’s and 29 doctors, 22 of whom are “higher” and “first” category, as well as 32 medical nurses.

History and Awards The history of the “Valuevo” estate stretches back far into centuries gone by. In 1341, the Great Prince Semen officially presented the estate to Timofey Valuy, formerly a captain in the army of Dmitriy Donskoy. Owners of the estate included Count Pyotr Andreevich Tolstoy, the head of the Secret Chancery of Peter I, and Count Alexei Ivanovich Musin-Pushkin, Ober-Procurator at the Most Holy Synod in the reign of Catherine II. Now it serves as the home of the “Valuevo” Sanatorium.

Glavmosstroy’s “Valuevo” Sanatorium has often, for its active work and successes in increasing the health of the population, been awarded Honour and Merit Certificates. In 2001, the sanatorium was awarded the Diploma of the Russian Committee for Registration of World-wide Records, as the only organisation in the world to have four artificial salt mines, which are a unique method of treatment for children and adults with pulmonary and bronchial problems. In 2003, the sanatorium was awarded the Effi Grand Prix prize for participation in the international “Partnership for Progress” programme. It has Ist class diplomas from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation: “Health Resort – 2001”, in 2002 – “Best Children’s Health Resort”, in 2003 – “Best Restorative Medical Techniques”, in 2004 – a FEMTEC (World-wide federation of climatic and spa therapy) diploma for “Best Specialised Health Resort”.

Location The Glavmosstroy “Valuevo” Clinical Sanatorium is located 28 km from the centre of Moscow, and 10 km from the Moscow Circular Road in the direction of the Kiev motorway, beside the small, quiet Likova river, in an old park with cascade pools and grottoes. With our rich natural resources, unique treatment methods and medical equipment, we are able to provide a magnificent environment for convalescence and health breaks. The estate now includes the Church of the Protection of the Most Holy Virgin.

Services and Infrastructure The Glavmosstroy “Valuevo” Clinical Sanatorium includes the 200 bed “Valuevo” Clinical Sanatorium, and the “Iskorka” (Spark) Children’s Sanatorium for 320 children. The estate is well-lit, fenced, and has 24-hour security. “Valuevo” Clinical Sanatorium has double, single and luxury rooms. All rooms are en-suite and have a television and fridge – luxury rooms also have a telephone and a mini kitchen area.

The accommodation comprises 4 modern residential blocks with 4-bed dormitories. Each floor is provided with showers and toilets.

Treatment and Diagnosis Centre at “Valuevo” Sanatorium and “Iskorka” Sanatorium is equipped with modern medical technology and offers a wide range of medical services.
1. Research and Diagnosis
Laboratory-based research and diagnostic methods: full blood analysis, full urine analysis, biochemical blood tests for: blood sugar, triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, C-reactive protein, AST, general protein, creatine, bilirubin, CPK, LDH, ALT; investigation of blood clotting behaviour; full sputum analysis.
Functional research and diagnostic methods: ECG, spirography – an analysis of external breathing functions, EEG, RVG, analysis of body systems using the non-linear “Oberon” method, biological feedback therapy, polysomnography (analysis of breathing problems during sleep).
